Potential Application: Rescue Systems
In the event of an on-board emergency in the ISS, a rescue system derived from IRDT could provide the means for individual rescue of astronauts from the ISS to Earth.
The rescue of people e.g. from burning skyscrapers is a difficult task. An IRDT derived recovery system, due to its simplicity of use and its capability to withstand heat, could be
a reliable option.
